There are 4 ways FACTS to start FACTS:
A–The standard FACTS Sign-On screen is presented and the user enters the user code, password and company.
B–If the environment variables for auto start are set, they take precedence. The specific environment variables that are checked are: SSI_USER, SSI_PASSWORD, SSI_COMPANY, SSI_RUNPROG, and SSI_AUTO_EXIT. The Environment variables are set as described in the sign-in process.
C–After one or more FACTS sessions are running on the workstation (all for the same FACTS user and company, counting as a single FACTS user) subsequent sessions will automatically be signed-in. This option (where the initial user sign-in session is prompted and subsequent sessions bypass the sign-in) is not called “Auto Sign-In”, requires no configuration, and is available all the time for all users.
D–Auto Sign-in (ASI) is enabled and indicates when a user doesn’t have a current FACTS session running and the user is automatically signed in (bypassing the log in screen)
based on their domain and user name.

If SSI_USER is set, but there is any issue with any of the environment variable values (e.g. an incorrect password, unauthorized company, etc.) the PxPlus session will terminate. If all of the values are valid, the login process will proceed with the given values.
