modifications

This is a real-time progress indicator which is updated directly from our development system as modifications are retrofitted into FACTS version 7.2. As we get closer to 100%, we will be contacting customers to make appointments to install the update.

Here are some of the changes you can look forward to with FACTS 7.2….

  • Two new critical Sales Order reports: Service Level Report and Order Booking Report
  • Multiple bin locations per item
  • Vendor cost contracts in Purchase Order system
  • Document import feature in Sales Orders (can import from past order or invoice if customer ordering same items)
  • Credit restrictions are no longer a "system setting", they can be determined by customer (hold message, password required, etc.)
  • Introduction of both system and personal report templates which saves having to re-answer report settings each time you want to print a report.
  • Job Stream interface will utilize report templates instead of captured answers.
  • Advanced printer support: specify form feeds, margin definitions, and save the settings by report template.
  • Uses "Smart Views" which provide artificial intelligence technology capturing the most used views by user and presents them to the user in order of popularity (this feature may be turned on or off by user).
  • User customizable inquiry views.
  • Preserves the last open views and placement of views on the screen by user. Prevents having to pop and move windows upon each use of an inquiry.
  • Use of two keywords in searches, allowing user to fine tune search
  • A new character or graphical viewer, replacing the traditional 'print to terminal' feature, which allows you to view your entire document with ease.
  • A redesigned and streamlined Sales Order Entry suite, available in both character and graphical interfaces, improves usability and speed during order entry.
  • Updated help text in both graphical and character interfaces.
  • First ever implementation of the complete library available as electronic documentation.

This is one example of how we can use the Sequoia Web Services module to serve company information valuable to external users which is unrelated to selling product. Content of this type can add depth to a web site and value to customers. We chose to have this information available to any internet user. If required, we could protect sensitive information and provide it only to those users to whom we authorize access.
